when i think that a tire runs for about $400-500, i don't even dream about doing a burnout... but that's just me lol

Minsu 05-27-2014 12:41 PM

First of all, just put your papers in the glove box.

LEOs are trained and expect to be in control of any situation they're in. If they even suspect you're copping an attitude (no pun intended), they're either going to let you go or be more harsh on you then they need to be. You can choose to be a (lawful) **** to the cops, but unless your dad is one or you're a lawyer, you'll have to accept whatever comes back to you due to it.

If you do ANYTHING even REMOTELY illegal in your car and you say your papers are in the trunk, and if the cop asks you to pop the trunk and allow them to search for the papers, they may possibly decide you've given them the right to search your entire car for whatever. This hopefully wouldn't bother you, but there are worse idiots out there that write off their rights for dumber situations and pay the price when their weed stash wasn't so stashed. Or open alcohol.

But hey, it's your choice to be odd. I have no idea what actually happened to cause him to pull you over (you went over a double yellow line?). But if you did it, then you did it, even if for a brief second.

Also, just don't do burnouts. >.< Let alone in a parking lot that is not yours.

Because doing donuts in an empty parking lot doesn't leave any preventable tire marks? How would you feel if someone were to be doing donuts on your driveway? It's no different from a business' standpoint.

You are incredible. Cool story, bro.

What happened is a cop saw a young guy with a fast car (that he probably couldn't afford) and didn't like it. Had it happen to me and my buddies numerous times 40 years ago too. Ain't nothin' new!

Welcome to the club!

There's also a cubby behind the passenger seat. Have you considered this location for some of the stuff you keep in your glove compartment?

It'll all blow out the window when it's open cruising down the freeway at ... speed. Unless you weight it down with something.

Actually, he could get to them. Just requires getting out of the car and opening the back. I don't see a problem.

If you were a cop and you pulled over somebody you knew nothing about because his crap was in the back of his car would you want that person to be looking in the back of the car? A good place to store a gun or a weapon? Glove box he has visual of the driver reaching over to the side and time to discharge his weapon if need be.
