Horrendous day...370z obliterated by hail

Last time I checked (been a while), the insurance company is buying the car as-is. All you get are your personal effects. But you may be able to work something

Lol I knew someone would point out the 2 parking spaces. I agree it's kind of douchey, but in my defense I work there and have been parking in the same lot for twelve years. I've had 3 separate instances of my (various) cars being dinged in the parking lot...the last time my car got hit so hard they had to replace the passenger and suicide door on my RX8. After that the property management gave me special dispensation to park across 2 spaces if the lot wasn't full. Given the choice of being a douche or continuing to file insurance claims I chose to be a douche Believe me, I don't park like that anywhere else.

I'm about two years into my loan and just about break even. Any shortfall will be covered by gap.

This is what I gathered. As soon as I get to talk to the adjuster I'll see if we can work something out. I have the factory speakers/HU sitting in a box in my workshop.

So sorry to see.

Even the steel rear fenders appear to be as damaged as the front aluminum parts. Holy Toledo. I see another car with it's glass blown out too.

I agree about totaled. Still I hope somebody repairs the damage and drives a straight framed 370Z.

Every car in the lot had cracked windshields or blown out rear windows...except for the Xterra parked next to me. Besides a cracked side mirror that thing didn't even have a single mark on it. Not...a...single...mark.

Take all the auto out asap. I was hit in a wreck and they said take your stuff out by tomorrow and we will come tow it to the junk yard. I literally stripped every single speaker and amp out. Left it without anything. it was written off so they had their figures and I took all my stuff out and just put it in the next car.

Yeah, until they take possession of it and give you something in return, you should be able to take your stuff out.

Definitely ask, though.

That damage is absolutely unreal. I see some cars recently dimpled pretty good by hail in the last few weeks at my apartment complex, but what you have is crazy.

Good on you, by the way, to not only take photos, but get background of other damage and cars, making it very, very clear what happened.

I think I would have just walked over to the Outback, ponied up to the bar, ordered some wings, and then slammed about 10 tallboys!

Holy Christ! Totaled for sure...

Would you consider taking the money and then buying it back for the salvage price? It would be a nice cheap way to have a great track car.
