Several years ago walking out of there on Halloween, I walked past a guy who looked remarkably like Elvis. Then in the parking lot I walked past a Firebird or Camaro (I think) that had a huge, detailed portrait of Elvis on the hood. It was tacky, awesome, and beautiful all at once
Yeah, I'm about two and a half hours Northeast of there.
You did know that Elvis is known to hang out at the Silver Star on Halloween didn't you?

Actually, I was surprised to see Elvis there rather than him being out trick-or-treating and leaving numerous buildings.

I know where Northport is. When I was a kid, my parents would always make a stop at a package store there when we traveled to Tuscaloosa or Birmingham. We lived just across the state line, and MS was still a dry state at the time. Thank goodness for progress and enlightenment

Some time ago the river flooded Northport and that package store was underwater. In the cleanup, all the bottles of liquor had to be taken out front and smashed under the guard of the Alabama State Troopers. You should have seen all the old men standing around almost crying.

Now that is a tragedy. I'm sure my folks are rolling over in their graves.

After getting the food & sitting down, my wife says that someone likes the car. Looking out the window, one of the cooks was outside walking around the Z. That's a big complement to me & I smile on the inside and finish eating. Now, I want a coffee refill and can't find any waitresses. Looking around, the restaurant is completely empty sans my wife and I. Out the window I see the entire restaurant staff is outside standing around the Z, some were even taking pictures with their camera phones. As we left we got bombarded with very nice comments. I now have had my fifteen minutes of fame.
I actually bought my z in Mississippi and got the same reaction you did.

Oh, I just noticed. Yesterday, I traded the 2012 Roadster, for a 2014 Coupe, Sports Pkg, Black Cherry. Got a really nice price.

Just paint your Z orange with a confederate flag on the roof and "10s" on the doors, and scream "yeeeh hawhhhh!!!" while jumping in the air. Oh yeah, add a cop-car bumper to the front of your Z

It's a '14 sport touring coupe and I have replaced the Nissan hamburgers and removed the 370Z badging. The only place the says "Nissan" are the wheel centers and brake calipers. Part of the fun was that no one noticed that and didn't have a clue what it was.

Hey Grandpamoses,

I'm from Kemper, so I used to live right down the road from Philadelphia Ms. Yeah the Casino at first was going gangbusters but now since the tribe had issues with various things political, the traffic I hear has slowed down a lot.
PS: I took my Z home to Ms, and you wouldn't believe the numbers of giant pickup trucks that rode my *** everywhere I went. I got a lot of funny looks too. Bunch of stupid rednecks - I can say that, I'm from there. Ms is like going back in time.

Yeah,
Business there must really be bad, they've closed the Golden Moon Casino & only open it's hotel on weekends. They've also upped the comps at the Silver Star. I can get up to three consecutive nights any night of the week, free play, and show tickets every month.

Yeah it's a shame too, they were very proud of their Casino, and it showed in their attitude. Chief Martin did a good job.
