Starting mods
Well, my brother and I are planning to slowly build up our cars. He has a 370z and I have a Chubby Chaser Challenger RT. My brother, at the moment is thinking of a muffler delete. What opinions is there on that procedure? Sound wise? Performance gain/loss? On another note he's planning to plastidip his wheels, and rear valance. Any tips on that?

Lots of info can be found using the search button...
Sound is very subjective. Short tails are typically loud. If that's what he's going for then, great. If he wants gains, then a full CBE and test pipes might do better with similar sound. A tune will help get the most HP out of your bolt-ons. Fast Intentions makes a great exhaust - it is generally the go to exhaust around here. Plasti-dip is very polarizing in this community. I'm not a fan of the look, so I would never recommend it unless one is doing it for protection. Some people use it to accent all sorts of pieces on the car. To each their own, so it's whatever he wants to do. Some people are going to like it, and some people are going to hate it. Again, there is lots of info on both of these topics. A quick search will net you better results than this thread, I bet

Keep in mind that you will need to get a tune to get the most of the Z mods. I assume your R/T (and every other modern car) will be the same.
As per JARblue, there are already several threads on exhausts (like so many things, it's really a matter of taste) and PlastiDip. If you run into problems with the site's search, try Google and add "site:the370z.com" to your search string.

Cool! I'll do a search. I'm using the Tapatalk app, and figured just creating a topic would be easier, lol. He actually wanted to plastidip more items on the car, but I told him it would look pretty ugly. I myself don't like plastidip, but I need to do it on my cars grill lol. I hate chrome!

One of the first mods should be the Z1 Hood Struts. Since your brother is going to be popping the hood every 5 minutes.. These can come in handy other than that give some breathing to the car... CBE, Cold Air Intake, etc.
