Default Love the car, but why does EVERYBODY wanna race?!?!

I'm in L.A., and i've only seen 4 370's in the last month on the streets... really weird because this is California< and believe me we see ALL the best, newest, also the most expensive cars out here on the DAILY, so I'm trying to understand why I don't more of the 370's.

And on top of that, I've noticed that almost every single car i'm driving past seems to find the accelerator as soon as they see the Z! Is this happening to anybody else?

It happens to me so much that i'm thinking about making a sign that says "You WIN!!" So glad i'm at a nice mature age where i can control the "speedracer" in me, lol.

I guess I'll blame it on the economy because I still don't see hardly any Z's on the road here in DFW. No one has tried to race me but it's kinda hard to do in morning or evening rush hour traffic when I'm usually on the road.

That's just the way it is when you have a car like this. Just drive normally as you are. Looks much cooler that way anyway.

happends to me all the time, makes me laugh when i see a civic fly by. One guy challenged me to a race at the lights and i said "nah, i dont street race, im on my way to the castrol raceway. Why dont you follow me and we will race against each other for $100." he said "f*ck you pussy and did a burn out as he left the lights"

Yeah, that happens to me a lot too. Mostly from young males in their riced up FWD cars. Also, why do people who own WRX's think that the 370 is a "race magnet"? Almost everytime I encounter one, the driver wants to race. I laugh a lot at them and that seems to make them very angry. I have not raced anyone on the street (and don't intend to). But the 370 also seems to attract a lot of tail-gaters. I'm not sure why... maybe it's because of the sexy rear-end on the car (?). And it's really fun to accelerate away from these people and look at their expression as I pull away (very quickly).

Happens here too, I ignore them, seems to infuriate them ever worse....... I don't even acknowledge them........ fun to observe out of the corner of your eye, as they can't understand why you aren't drooling over their 10 year old piece of sh**, lol........... had a ridiculous looking Dodge Neon trying to race with me on the interstate last week, used the "ignore observe discreetly" method above, drove him nuts until he finally rode off into the sunset begging for a speeding ticket

LOL!
First day I went on the highway with my Z a blacked out Neon tried to race me. He sped off and what he didn't know was that a state trooper was hiding down the highway. I'm pretty sure he was going 90+ Hope he got owned.

funny story this. I was driving down a very long parkway with a stop light at least every 1/8 mile, so naturally its notorious for street racing.. the cops know this. Its about 2am last Saturday, just dropped my girl off after a late show. I'm cruisin along, not many cars on the street, red light stops me. Out of nowhere some headlights come flying up beside me. A yellow Evo 9. Light turns green, and of course this idiot is chirping his BOV at me, accelerating, then slowing down, you know how they do. I notice this, laugh at him, then turn my stereo up to avoid hearing that annoying squeal his BOV keeps making. Were coming past a strip mall parking lot that is a notorious cop hiding spot. So I set my trap. I decellerated to 35mph, downshifted to 2nd and mashed the pedal until I made it to the speed limit of 55. This idiot keeps going, id say to at least between 90-100. Lo and behold, guess who was waiting for him? Our friendly town deputy bill in his whie crown vic and his flashy blue and reds. I drove by, laughed and gave the thumbs up. Street racing is a no-no. Damn noobs.
