THE real tragedy here is the OPs question that STILL hasn't been answered.

Why are the admins allowing a company like that to continue to do their shady business practices on this site? Is the "vendor fee" worth that much to the admins? Gtm has single handedly ruined the boost experience for a lot of YOUR members here. Yet you admins do nothing but actually encourage it by "cleaning" up multiple threads. Why?

Admins here don't really have any power. They still have not banned a troll in this thread. Even if they ban gtm, it's not really going to do anything.
I'm still baffled why no one wants to take a trip to gtm. If I had $6k invested I'd spend a lil more to go out there and 'deal' with it

While it sounds good, what are you really going to accomplish? Sam will tell you the same thing,[ Get it from your credit card company, because I can't make the return in my system or whatever.] Then everyone gets upset & bent out of shape, possibly someone getting hurt & a trip to jail & yet still no money returned. Nah, there are better ways But you would be enlightened to their operation

Unfortunately, you are out of the money for now. Arrange for the kit to be sent to someone that you know and trust. Who can hold it until you return. Maybe while you are gone they can sell the kit for you. I bet you will take a loss but the world isn't fair I am sure as a future NCO you should understand that. You paid and it is frustrating but it sounds like you will have to take a loss. Freaking out a couple months before you're deployment doesn't help the cause throwing around rank and service only undermines the cause. My advise to you would be contact the BBB personally, have the reciepts and any emails ready and calmy file a complaint. Be professional, keep in contact with GTM, don't be a ****, don't throw around service or rank, remember you serve YOUR country. Civilians do not serve you. Small businesses don't always have the money to refund you instantaneously. (I have deployed many times, I lost 15k over a shitty deal while deployed. This problem hits me right in the feels bra! But I swear to god if I see another military member trying to exploit peoples patriotic feels for pity or discounts I am going to lose my mind.) -SSGT Skylar Smith

You're assuming that a kit will actually ship. GTM is at the end of their death throws, It's corpse will be cold soon. It's a shame....such potential. I wish the best for their employees. I got lucky, but I called and b*tched frequently. Now I have other issues I'm trying to resolve.

Code not that this kit is ever going to ship, but if it does in deed some day ship while you are away, you can have it delivered to me. I think you know your product will be safe in my hands until you return. Hopefully, you can get your money back from this prior to that day ever happening, but if it does not, I will receive, inspect and itemize it for you, sell it if need be.

Just let me know, I again hope you get the bank to refund your money first, and can get a bp/fi system

Jim

As much as I hate Sam and GTM (who by the way I called out on the forums back in 2007-2008 and got banned and basically burned to the ground..) I think your ordering the kit then wanting a full refund because you wont be home to receive it is a little messed up on your part. Most places have a return policy, and he should have clarified with you if there was a non refundable deposit or restocking fee since the kit is built to order. Now if he did accept your money and is on the verge of bankruptcy as I have heard and knew he was filing for Chapter 11 and STILL accepted your order and took your money with little to know intention of delivering goods, then you have a clear cut criminal case against him for fraud.

At this point GTM seems like a big PONZIE scheme where he takes from Peter to pay Paul, and is on the verge of collapsing. I called this many years ago that the tide would turn. I also noticed how Sam never ever accepts responsibility and like to shift blame and smear other shops. This was evident on one Forged Performance thread I read where he played the customer against Sharif. Sam has a less than ethical character about him and knows zero loyalty accept to himself, he would talk smack about everyone behind their back back in the day..

Sam did it to me back in the day, where he shifted blame on his crappy motors to me, when 4 out of 5 of his motors we ordered from him failed miserably. 100% of the ones we built locally or in house were problem free, and some are still on the road today.

Sam's issue is GREED. He wants to have his hands in everything and wants to control every part of the industry from soup to nuts. He doesnt want the customer going anywhere but his shop to spend their money and will do what he has to do at all costs to smear other places and preach the you NEED to use GTM cause they are the inventors of all things great!

When you get your hands too deep in the mix, you spread yourself thin and lose the quality control and pride that built you up to that point. There is such a thing as becoming "TOO BIG"..This is a perfect example..

GTM will go bankrupt, people will be out money, creditors will be screwed, customers will be screwed, and they will simply re open under a different name at a different location and pull the same old revolving door. The system is in place to reward people like Sam, and punish guys like me who ran a 100% honest place of business and never screwed over anyone. I was ran out of town with pitchforks and torches, by the GTM nutswingers, one of them was a good friend of mine who turned on me after he screwed up his own motor and Sam used as a pawn to manipulate the masses against me. Eventually Sam didnt deliver the promise land to that guy either and screwed him the best of my knowledge...

OP good luck getting your refund, I would file criminal fraud charges if he never delivers and does go bankrupt. But Karma is a biatch people, you do reap what you sow!!!
