F-ing funny man
I don't get it. The OP only had a couple issues and that's unfortunate but not the end of the world. My seat cushion failed 3 weeks after standard warranty. I have the extended warranty but it doesn't cover that. I politely asked and they covered it. I paid the dealer to replace power steering and brake fluids plus perform an alignment since they already had the car and to give them business for helping me. So far it's been a good experience. If someone wants a better warranty the pay for it. |

naw im just joking that with your luck your next car will also fail.
if the car doesnt fail, no need to deal with corporate right? i dont remember ever having to have to call corporate before the steering lock refund issue. which i still never got reimburse for. and i dont care no more. |

but then it was insurance for me so it was worth the price i guess. rather not deal with tow trucks and dealers. now days you got the brown wire cut (by fritz) /fuse pull (daisuke/baer) solutions but back then, there were no such solutions other than to keep a 2nd lock. to this day, ive not had to replace my lock. ive kept the original working lock in my trunk and it will remain there for the next owner if i ever decide to sell the car in 4-5 years. |

I'm not really going to get into the debate that has been hashed for years on so many forums.
I will say this: The Z is #49 in a long list of cars - from all brands - Jeeps to BMW to Volvo to Infiniti etc. It is not Nissan - it is 99% the dealership you deal with. Nissan is no worse than any other when it comes to repairs - and actually they are on the better side. I've had so few issues with my 5 Infinitis and my Nissans that its kinds of funny. One Infiniti dealer i would never use again - the other one is friggen amazing and does everything. My Nissan dealership is fantastic too. 5 BMW's and 2 of them I had to fight to get bought back. Which, reluctantly, they did. you think Nissan is tough? Try BMW or Merc when you have a major issue. Sorry you had issues - but try a 550i that has its main circuit board fry - 3x. Or a Ranger Rover that the gas tank literally fell off while in traffic. It's all a matter of perspective. I like the Tesla - but Houston is hot and humid. Both of which are hard on any type of battery - Lithium ion or otherwise. |

you have not failed to clearly convey your thought, at least to me. I am trying to tell you when you have a post of complaining the troublesome response from one department of a car manufacture, you will have a complain long enough to reach 20,000 words when owning an european car. why? you'll find out when you actually own one. yours sincerely alcheng btw, fyi, I've owned a volks wagon and bimmer before. |

Suggestion: It's time for this to die and for us to move on. OP got things off his chest already.
