Can this happen?
 

A friend the other day told me that he had a clear bra on his Stang, being that we're in the desert, said dust would collect under it, and it completely destroyed his paint, is this possible?

Only can happen on a regular bra. Clearbra is sealed.

he said right inside the very top edge it would collect, and no, its the 3M stuff.

Yeah, if it wasn't put on well, it could totally start coming off at the edges.

if done right, it will work out..... so dont cheap out and go to some run down tint shop

if you're careful washing it (wash mitt going away from the edge of the clearbra not towards it) it should last a very long time.

make sure before the app all wax is removed. just use some rubbing alcohol.
and the soap solution is not too concentrated... dont use anything other than
original dawn dish soap or a dedicated tinting/clearbra solution.

moisturizers in some dish soaps will contaminate the adhesives and weaken the
bond.
