I did alright. About a year ago I removed the stock spring (didn't really help or hurt the feel). A few weeks ago I removed the clutch pedal entirely. The RJM Performance clutch pedal assembly I installed is so much better than the stock garbage. Completely different feel. Like Mr. Onzedge put it: makes it feel like a whole new car.

I don't bother to heel-toe in my boots since I can just use SRM.

I've got a pair of composite-toed boots I wear everyday to work and have absolutely no issues. My problem is that I'm a bit rough on the clutch when I'm wearing anything else like sneakers haha. I've debated wearing sneakers to work and swapping for my boots when I get there...

When I wear my bunny slippers, sometimes my foot slips off the clutch.

I drive in my steel toe Doc Martens all the time with no issues. Actually I have yet to stall my Z even once. I wear size 9 shoes though... might be a different story if I were size 12 or something. Also, I always adjust the seat to account for whether I'm wearing my Docs vs my Merrells.

Yeah I've never liked driving without shoes, although my wife always has. Now, withe the Z, I love driving with no shoes. So much better control of the clutch pedal. Z clutch isn't the easiest you know? I don't often find myself able to drive without shoes as I'm always going to work! But I do when I can.
On Topic: I don't own a pair of boots. Last pair I had was when my son was Scouting years ago. |

In my truck I've driven with everything & nothing. When wearing flip-flops my left foot tends to get caught in the mat so I just take them off.
In the Z I've driven in some cowboy boots with no problem, but not tried the steel-toed work boots yet. Drove in some flip-flops the other day; no problems with them getting caught on the WeatherTechs, but it definitely isn't the best footwear for driving a stick.
