i know they are different animals my wife would drive the car every now and then so it would have to be an automatic im only concerned about stock acceleration, does anyone have the 0-60 and the 1/8th mile time on the 7 speed auto 370z??? im mostly interested in the stock 1/8th mile time with the auto. does anyone know??? |

if the amount of time to go from 0-60 and run a 1/8th is all that matters to you, then I don't think the Z is for you. the Z is an all around monster, not a 1/4 mile monster.

It looks like the 1/4mile times for the 7AT are 13.4-13.1 on average that is quick

I have not heard of any or experienced any problems with the 7A and the rest of your comment doesn't sound very helpful. |

+1 triple...I've heard nothing but good things about auto in 370Z.
Robbie: in my oppinion, just get a manual with SP. S mode really makes it easy for first time manual driver. Just involve a lot of practice. I too had the same dilemma before, but decided to get manual S and then taught my wife how to do it. For a beginner, she is doing really good even for the first time. The only problem is to launch it from 0-1st gear. They'll love it and appreciate it so much once they've learned how to drive on manual. Just have a lot of practice (perfect time to spend with your wife) As it progresses, you can turn the S-off to play with it, and shouldn't be a problem under a non agressive drive. You'll be surprise how easily your wife can learn how to drive a stick. |

I see that you are also in Dallas. Chance is we'll see each other . If my wife can do it, she can do it too!!! It makes them feel special driving a shift stick. Not a lot of women wants to drive a manual LOL.

I've seen stock 370Z 1/4 mile time slips with the Auto as low as 13.16 sec and 1/8 mile at 8.48. Most fall in the 13.3 to 13.4 range.

I've seen a 12.87 and a 12.99 out of the manual and auto respecivly. link: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21013

if you consider street conditions, your weight(s), temperature, relative humidity, 0.2 of a second is not going to matter that much. get the car that looks the best to you. most often AT's do well consistently off the line vs MT cause there's less driver error.
just not as fun to drive. |
