Default 20mm vs 25mm spacers

What's up people! So basically I went through the entire forum looking for a dropped Z with spacers as Im debating on wether to get 20mm or 25mm bolt on rear. I see most of you are dropped on swifts and are able to get away with 25mm spacers or even 30mm in rear. Now my question is would I rub with 25mm's in rear and 20mm in front(as you guys said 20mm is necessary in front if getting bolt-on spacers) Since the drop on the front is 1.45" rear 1.35"? Btw I'm going with z1 bolt-ons. Your feedback is very much appreciated. uploadfromtaptalk1399174291939.jpguploadfromtaptalk1399174311186.jpguploadfromtaptalk1399174371394.jpg

I'm on swift with 20mm front and 25mm rear , no rubbing and the car feel awesome.
20mm bolt-on did not worked for me in front, a least not the Z1,
sold the 20mm bolt on and got the spacers with extended studs.
see the pics of the wheels with 20mm bolt-on
My opinion
Front 20mm with extended studs, Rear 25mm bolt-on
hope this help

Thank you for the heads up loiro370z, but as I was going through the forum I some where read 20mm+ bolt-on would be just fine. I'll also speak to Z1 tomorrow before ordering anything. Are there any rubbing issues in the rear while certain situations?

I started with 25mm on the sport Rays in the back and 20mm in the front. I dropped the rears to 20mm because the wheels stuck out about 1/4" past the fender. I'm still running the stock 275 Potenza's which are pretty stretched on the stock rear wheels and I didn't care for the look of the stretched sidewall and wheel sticking past the fender. I'm going 305 when my stockers wear out so hopefully that will be about perfect. Z1 are great people with good service. I'm sure their bolt-ons are fine. I did H&R bolt-ons which seemed the most popular and they're great too. Good luck with the choice. Your drop looks good.

My 20mm H&R hubcentric bolt-ons worked just fine on the front. No rubbing like in loiro370z's pic. I read about some of them not working too but H&R seems to be fine on my '13 with the sport package.

mab864 are you lowered? And what size wheels are you running now? Also did you have 20mm bolt-ons in the front?
Appreciate the help!

Wow that's really good to know as I also have '13 sports package, I'm thinking I should be fine with 20mm bolt on up front, I'll still confirm with z1. Rear I'm still debating, when you said 25mm stuck out 1/4inch were you lowered?

Nope,
No rubbing under any situations.
For some people the the 20mm Bolt-on work fine. Not for me
When pushing the car hard,I feel more confident with stud replacement in front.

No lower and no camber. To clarify, I think the 25mm looked better on the rear with the 275 Potenzas, but I changed them out because my next set of tires will be 305's out back. I sorta wish I would have kept the 25mm spacers out back until I made the switch but I already sold them here on the forum. I think on the stock tires and stock Rays 20mm front and 25mm out back is the way to go.

Thank you folks, so far I'm leaning towards 20mm front 25mm rear set up because I'm planning on staying with the stock rays for quite a while. will have the Z aligned right after installing spacers as I didn't do an alignment after installing the springs and camber kit. Will post up the pics ASAP.

I have 20mm Bolt on Front and Back, I think they are way too heavy for me, car looks perfect though. I am going to replace them with extended studs and maybe 10mm front and back

20/25 on swifts here. Was on stock rays but Michelin pss tires which runs a little wider than the potenza. Perfect aggressive stance

What do you mean when you say they are too heavy for you? And did you have any trouble installing 20mm Bolton in front like others have mentioned earlier?
