From various threads around here it seems $200 +/- $50 is around the norm. I would call around some shops in your area and see what they say.

I'd say $100 is good.

I added berks a few months ago, labor costs were $180 at a local shop.

Probably my best mod to date...

Why wouldn't you install them yourself?

Minsu 05-01-2014 06:51 AM

I checked the hfc diy and there's a lot more than just removing the pipe and adding new one no?

It's not that big of a deal. You might have some trouble getting the bolts off. Go post in your local forum and see who will help you for beer and pizza.

Demon bolts?

Chuck33079 05-01-2014 06:56 AM

Lots of people here have managed to DIY them. If he gets some help he can too.

Yeah. That was just the only reason I could think of why you wouldn't DIY it. I purchased a variety of universal impact socket adapters from Harbor Freight just in case I ever do this mod (or someone else needs help with it). I hear they help tremendously with a long enough extension and breaker bar.

Now that I think about it, I believe you were the person from whom I got the idea, Chuck :tiphat:

Yeah, the breaker bar is your friend.
