Deep creep over night also helps.

A 12-pack and maybe some food is all it should cost, and maybe some blood, sweat, and tears. :icon17:

I had some friends help me, since there's no way in hell I could have gotten the demon bolts, etc. off. I offered food, etc. for their services. I'm not quite sure I could have done the install solo - afraid I'd mess something up (not that there's anything outside of the O2 sensors to really mess up).

1-2 hours labour, depending on if the demon bolts co-operate, if not then you could end up spending even more.

What is interesting is that I once asked what it would cost, and was asked back
"You have some one willing to put them on? they are not CARB* legal."
I'm sure I had a confused look on my face. I had to go look up CARB. :icon17:

* CARB= California Air Resource Board. They do smog control etc.

My neighbor has a lift in is garage. He offered to help me with the install. It was a fvck'n nightmare..........

Day 1. We were only able to get two of the six bolts off the first night. He has all the tools, Impact Wrench/Breaker Bar/titanium drill bits, etc. We soaked the remaining bolts with PB Blaster overnight.

Day 2. We were able to get another two bolts off. We are now down to 2. Soaked the remaining two bolts with PB Blaster overnight.

Day 3. Was able to get one Demon Bolt off the right side only. The one on the left......no freakn way this thing was coming off. We decided to drill into the bolt itself to free it. Used two Titanium Bits........holy ****. Really?? I then started to drill next to the bolt itself to get some room. I wanted to keep the Stock Cats in tact, should I ever decide to sell the car.

We finally got the last Demon Bolt off. Get this, the threads completely melted.....basically turning it into a Rivet. I mean this was amazing.

I began to think if all this effort/time was really worth it. Finally installed Berk HFC's and quickly answered my own question. Absolutely, it was worth all the time and effort. I have a Berk CBE as well. This combo is truly awesome.

I cannot be happier with the Berk HFC's. My car is Tuned by Ecutek. Let it trim out, then data logged and sent to my tuner. Just downloaded the updated tune file yesterday.

Getting the Berk HFC's was the best money/mod I spent/purchased. Period.

I just called Brookside and they said labor is 50 an hour. so the berk install should only cost like 100-150 and the dent should be like 500. hopefully.

6MT-Z34 05-15-2014 06:47 PM

Did u get ur HFC installed?
