Default getting car history not carfax

I remember a few years ago I was able to get all the work that was carried out by the previous owner of my Acura ( was bought used ) from the Acura main dealership.

Will Nissan do the same if I provide VIN?

They can, but also remember people do not always go to the dealership for maintenance so it could be lacking.

I would say go to the dealership, probably easier and you can also check on warranty items and other TSB.

Thanks, will do. I dont have the tools for oil change on this platform, so will request this information on first oil change. Currently has 2100 miles so time to change the first oil.

Your Z is brand new
What kind of "history" are you looking to find about your 2014 370Z with 2100miles on it

2014 calls for first oil change at 5000 miles.

As to car history from VIN, who does that? I've never taken any Nissan I've ever owned to the dealer for anything, except maybe my wife's Murano a couple of years ago for a faulty TPMS.

Put the joint down, take a nap for a few hours (or as many as you need to be safe ) and go for a drive

I bought it used at 1551 miles. I found out who the previous owner was and all, but a few things I noticed about the car made me think some work had perhaps been done to it. Also, bearing in mind I am one of those OCD para noid freek zoids. So, always assuming the worse LOL.
Cue my other posts if you can be kind enough to search them you will see.

You are so correct. I am one of those people, that even I could find defects perhaps in a Buggati Veron.

What would it take to put you at ease to the point where you can enjoy the car? We all pretty much agree that it wasn't wrecked and put back together based on your photos. It's too new to be behind on maintenance. What else is left?

Have a coke and a smile, and enjoy your new car. There's very little doubt in my mind that it's 100% ok.

Hey LB,

Nissan told me that they have no central database of service done to automobiles, each dealership keeps their own service records. True? I don't know, if anyone knows different tell me please. This was directly from Nissan Corp when I inquired about service records of my used Z, I provided VIN, bill of sale, everything to prove ownership, then they tell me after jumping thru all those hoops they can't help me....
