Clear plastic pieces

I noticed whilst cleaning my door cards the below plastic paper type hanging out out from under the door panels.

I'm thinking these are what the car shipped with for protection and hopefully not the interior weather shield?

looks like the moisture barrier inside the door panels. The circular piece looks like where the door clips go.

Has the door panels ever been off?

which 'door clip' are you referring to?

These pieces of plastic could be seen once you open the door and look down on where the door card meets the door . Thinking its a film that wraps around the door panel prior to it being installed on car. Only way to tell is if I can see brand new 370z delivered to dealer prior to them prepping it .

Hopfully not the the weather shield LOLz.

I had plastic left on the wheels and under the drivers door that I had to pull off. Pull it off, you will be fine.

All the protective wrap I've seen was very thin, clear stuff. I agree with black_sedan that it looks like some type of seal. Maybe just to lessen wind noise but may be for moisture. Check the FSM and see if you can ID it from one of the drawings.

I think you're fine... I've never taken my door panels off, but after a quick search looks like theres not a plastic sheild.

hell you talking about, black_sedan? :icon17:

(ive taken my door panels off to install cs a while back and know there's no plastic sheets that thin inside the door panel where you can reach). i did notice the dealer did not peel off the protective sheet during delivery though. similar clear sheet fell off when i pulled the panel off the door...hence my first post.

same goes with your G. ive taken off the G's door panels off too while installing some 6501's.
