Yeah, it was a Mazda salesman.

Also on a side note, I personally do not just go with numbers. We all know Koreans are good with numbers in the fact of making them sound better, all you go to do is look at Samsung and their smartphones etc, all these high numbers mean not much in real life terms. They seem to have a thing with making the numbers look better.

When I bought the Z , I bought into the Heritage of it. Also reminds me so much of my old BMW Euro e36 M3 I owned back when I lived in England.

yah, that's also funny cause a mazda salesman came to mind telling me that same shitt long time ago. hahaha. the part that was funny was "stuck with a hyundai"

you dont get 'stuck' with something you like.

im not a Z fanatic of any sorts. i just fell in luv with the car when i saw one roaming around the streets. the last time i felt this way was when i first saw a G35C back 11yrs ago. had to have one.

Yeah, I am no affiliate of any one particular brand either. I always keep an open mind. But the Mazda guy gave me a great trade for my speed 3 and showed me the Z that I currently have that was just delivered that day, wasnt even detailed . ( wasnt detailed even after I drove off the lot, refused their cleaning ).

Drove it, liked it, bought it. Whilst I had the speed 3 however I always had a soft spot for Scoobie Sti's. However, wifey cant drive stick and hated even being a passanger in my Speed 3 as it was too "rough" for her.

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8R was my second choice for a new car. A great deal and Hyundai provides an excellent warranty. However, based on my butt dyno, the Z has significantly more power. (Supposedly 4.6 vs. 5.3 zero to sixty times.) Also the Hyundai transmission was not very smooth and the engine was very raspy at high RPM.

I almost forgot about the manual transmission, it was AWFUL. There are economy cars with better shifters out there than the Gen coupe. I told the salesman that, he refuted it, I told him to go next door to Mazda with me... he declined. Otherwise, interior is much nicer than the Z or 370 IMO

As for koreans and over rating their horsepower numbers, I agree. Their numbers are more reflective of Dog Power. (jokes aside, the gen coupe has some serious Jam).

+1 on the heritage of the 370Z

Yeah, I mean I was merely going by what they put out on their phones etc. They seem to think Americans love the bigger numbers. Well I guess that part might be true to some extent.

ive had my Z for 5yrs now... to me, my Z has been consistent from 27F to 100F. sure the power drains in heat from standstill, but so does other gasoline -only powered cars.

OP, enjoy the new car. I cross shopped a 3.8 GT before I got the Z, I liked it. If you are looking for a way to stand out from every other Gen Coupe on the road, just leave the badges on. Of the 100's of them I have seen, I've never seen on that wasn't debadged!
