I'd spend the money and buy an alarm with a pager that reaches where you live with the tilt sensor. Being on bricks is scary, never thought about it til I singed up for this site and had an alarm installed to TRY and prevent it. Hope it works out OK OP, I feel for you.

Costs too much to buy a place with a garage in the area that I'm staying at. I'm not renting either...I own the condo.

Or check to see if you have any self storage spaces nearby with drive in units. I am suggesting this because I am doing something similar myself and I can tell you that if I had continued to leave my Z at my apt, my wheels and or whole car would have been jacked already. Obviously not everyone can have the most desirable housing situation to support our car hobby, but you can find ways to work around some situations. Wishing you the best in getting the check cut so you can get your new rims and get the damage repaired. |

If I'm not mistaken he lives in or near MedCenter which isnt cheap living since that's where most doctors and nurses live. Renting out a garage there would add an extra $200-300 a month to rent which there for a 1 bedroom is already $1300-$1500 a month... Dunno how they do in Chi-Town but theives in Houston operate a little different lol..They don't rob the poor, they rob the rich nieghborhoods and if its a organized, they ship it up North or Cali and sell it at a "steal" ![]() |

****, people these days are getting really good at this tire/rim jacking.
You would think they could get jobs with NASCAR at the speed they take off the tires. My brother told me a story about how his friend's dad got his wheel stolen of his Escalade while parked at target....yes, in the middle of a crowd. Anyways, I hope everything gets sorted out my friend. Best of luck to you. |

Good news. Spoke with the claims rep and asked if getting a check cut out to me instead would be possible and she said no problem. She asked about the tread life on the tires since they were pretty new Michelin pss so she is going to call the dealer I purchased the car from to confirm.
