$563.95 for a 15k mile service?? (Quote attached)
Hey everyone,
I need some help. I received the attached quote from my dealership for my 370z which is about to hit 15k. I was wondering if these prices match up or is the dealership ripping me off. Do I even need all of this? Please let me know what you think. Thanks in advance!!! |

Its sort of up to you if you want to spend the money.
At 15k miles you should have nothing wrong with your car.. I got my car with 27k on it and skipped the 50k service and instead got it around 70k.. I think I spent $600 or so to have everything checked out. I felt like I overpaid big time and told myself I wouldn't do that again. Car felt no different, all I noticed was new oil and windshield wipers. Theres a bunch of threads on this - Do some searching The minor stuff you can check out yourself.

Everything except the oil treatment if you've kept current on your oil changes. But all that stuff you can get at autozone for cheaper. Plus get Lucas fuel system for like $12 and the wiper blades could use replacement every year in SoCal. Also you can do that in a drive way and it's real easy or ask the autozone people to help out with the filters and wiper blades. Unless you can't spare the very little time to do all that then go for it but I would find an hour to do it before paying that ungodly price.

Wiper blades for $36 EACH?!?!?!
OP, I'll ship you brand new ones for half Battery/pads?!?!?! For what? To make sure you still have them? Oil/fuel treatment...? They'll top off the oil and make sure you didn't put diesel in maybe? LOOOOL... WTF is Element assembly? Air filters... God this dealer enjoys raping people OP, get the brake fluid flushed. Watch them pour Dot 4 fluid in. If they're using Prestone or NOT GTR fluid, go somewhere else.

definitely getting screwed.
At 25k, and all I've paid for thus far is oil changes, and a 4 wheel align (which I probably didn't need).

at 15k miles, id just do oil/oil filter change, cabin filter change. all else is visual inspection.
i suppose if you want to check your intake air filter you can. it's only 2 clips to pull up the filter per side...unlike my G where it tests my hand acrobatics and patience. well, until i got my stillen intake on there. f- i hate dealers. i dont think i spent more than 200 on my Z's maintenance the last 5yrs total. |
