FML..RIP rear right tire
This was yesterday morning, I was heading to work on the 405 doing 80... and a warning pops up on the display "Low tire pressure".
I figured ok when I stop I'll take a look, maybe needs more air...within 5 minutes...car starts to shake slowly....and so quickly CHUB CHUB CHUB CHUB CHUB CHUB -___- I was forced to drive maybe 3/4 of a mile till I was able to pull up to a safe area and slap on the spare. here are the results: Must've ran over something.. |

Not where the rim is visible [what I can see]. The wheel is still on the rim. Taking it tomorrow for a tire replacement. But the rim does look ok. Quote:
That's from the wheel rubbing on the fender...should be able to take that off with no problem. |

Trust me, the tire would deflate LONG before I hit the freeway if that was the case lol. That's a pretty big hole. I was driving for a solid 20 minutes on the freeway before low tire pressure came on. And it was a matter of a maybe 5 minutes after that came up before the tire went flat and the rim started molesting it. I'm just glad it was the rear tire. It's only rubber at the end of the day. |
