Couple threads I found for you. There is probably more, I am lazy though.

If not these then the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Cant go wrong either way if you dont mind the cost! |
I have the Pilot Sport A/S +. Excellent wet and dry traction. You won't be disappointed.

I currently have a set of AS3 on my 09 370Z. Got a full set for about $1167 at Discount Tire here in Orlando.
My conclusions: The wet traction seems to be pretty good. While I haven't had them long enough to run them through what I call "Monsoon Season" down here, they seem to shed the water quickly, and I've not had any hydro-planing issues, even while driving through puddles. Overall handling is good as well. For regular dry handling, I would rate them as well as the Bridgestone Potenzas that the Sport models come with from the factory. Though they are not run-flats, and they do seem to have just a little bit more sidewall roll in heavy cornering, for obvious reasons. All in all, I am pleased with my choice, though it is arguably still too early to say whether or not they will last the 30k or so miles that Michelin says they will. |

my major criteria is off the line acceleration. should i try the AS3 or go with PSS? |
I went with the AS3 because they are an all season rated for more mileage (6 yr/45k miles vs. PSS 6 yr/30k miles) and were a little bit cheaper.
The PSS were my second choice, only because of the warranty and being considered a summer tire. The only issue I know of when it comes to summer tires is that when temps drop, they tend to get harder, and lose some of their traction. While that is not necessarily a big issue with us here in CFL, it does sometimes get cold enough to make a difference. If you are looking more for the performance end of it, you may want to go PSS. My Z is my DD, so I went with the all season AS3. Either way I would say that you are making a good choice. |
