He's going to have one very slow forward gear and 6 (or is it 7?) gears for reverse.
|
I'm sure he is going to use a different tranny.

Somehow, I feel it would have been easier to modify a Z front and rear bumper to fit a Porsche...
The Z is awesome, but it doesn't really handle or brake better than a 911, at least to the best of my knowledge... |
The owner claims the Z has a better chassis. Not sure how he arrived to that conclusion.

Different strokes for different folks. He's like me. Can't leave nothing alone. Got to put my fingers into it. Sometimes that will get real $$$$ :icon14:

Some people just think they know better than anyone else.
IMO, this is gonna be a hella fail build |

Unless he knows some secret way to make a 370Z chassis out-perform a Porche chassis... If he ever lets the secret out, let me know ASAP. |
This story sounds suspicious

Its a huge waste of money, but he's not all that off. Reality is Porsche has perfected a design that is not optimal for handling. Why do you think so many say a boxster is detuned from factory so it won't out perform the halo 911.
I think he will have quite a weapon, though I'm sure he could've bought a 911 with all the engineering done already. |
more power to him. For some its as much about the journey than the destination. Doing something noone else has done is pretty cool. Maybe with his driving style, he prefers the 370 chassis to the porsche. I know I prefer it to my old C6, it just feels better to me. Whether its faster around a track or not doesn't really matter if you don't enjoy driving it because it doesn't feel right to you.

He should put the engine in the trunk.......
|
Some people may just like having something to do. I assume this guy is doing this out of pure recreation? I bet he's going to have spent as much money as a used 997 gt3 rs, which will outrun his pretty neat ride 24/7. Would still love to drive it though.
