Pain In The SEAT!
My back pain was so severe with these base seats, I had to do something or give up the car. Changing seats is just a shot in the dark. You don't know what the results will be and there are no returns. I bought a seat cushion, made with a steel frame, USA, called Sacro-Ease, by McCarty's. Absolutely no more pain, and I take long road trips. I got the one with an extra inch of pad in the seat section.
Hope this helps. TxC |

Alot of guys with wallet problems....Do you guys carry wallets like george costanza, or what?
I've had a wallet in my back pocket for almost 40 years, even (gasp) when driving, no issues. I've also never had a doctor tell me that I shouldn't carry my wallet in my back pocket for fear of hip or back issues Maybe some of you guys need to get a purse. (or a european carry-all)

I used to have to take my wallet out of my back pocket for long trips until I changed to an All-ETT wallet https://www.all-ett.com/ . They won't impress anyone for looks, but if you want a thin wallet, they are terrific.
I've only had two--I got the original all-nylon about ten years ago. It was a little too flimsy but probably would have lasted forever. I bought the leather model when they were introduced and am still using it. I haven't had to remove my wallet while driving since I bought the first one. |

My "mother in law's" old crone friends told my wife that "he'll have joint issues with that sports car, har har", you can imagine.....
So far just taking the wallet out of my back pocket is all I've done. I'm not a "tip toe" driver, I drive with the ball of my foot, not the toes, so far I've had no issues, at first I had some stiffness on the clutch leg, but after I got accustomed to it no issues since. I do go the gym regularly to keep limber. At 53 you gotta take what you can get. OP may have to experiment to find the best position. Some folks just have back alignment issues with these cars, that's why I got mine for a steal with 11K on the speedo. |

Bucket seats, sports car, you CANNOT have anything in your back pockets while driving. Spend time getting seat position and steering column as comfy as possible.
Lumbar support in this car kinda sucks, so the rest is just accepting and adapting.

I may need to just keep trying different seat positions! I do notice that because I have long legs, I have to put my knees at an angle so they're on the side of the steering wheel and when I push through for the clutch my leg goes through a weird rotating extension. I think that's where I'm getting the pain. I can walk/run without any pain, but as soon as I rotate my leg it hurts. I think a telescoping steering wheel would help, so my knees wouldn't sit in the way of the steering wheel. I'll keep on stretching and adjusting my seat and hopefully I won't have to give up on the 370! Thanks for all the input!!
