I'm in X-ray, work with orthopedic doctors and I've seen many people with hip or lower back problems. I'd say go see a doctor. If you feel a sudden pain through your back and/or legs, it could be your SI Joint. Riding with your knees high can cause more bending of your lower back/pelvis. Being a big guy and cramming yourself in such a tiny space can hurt in the long run.

I'm a fairly large guy at 6'-1" fluctuating between 210 and 240 lbs depending on my eating/activity ratio.
When I drive the Z spiritedly, I consistently find myself sitting primarily on my right a$$ cheek, with the left one up on the left bolster of the seat. This isn't very comfortable even with my level of a$$ cushioning, and it can irritate my back muscles, too. I have to reposition myself constantly. Thankfully, this isn't something I do often enough to make it a real problem. The car is my DD, so I treat her with respect and the occasional flogging. If I start to track/autoX the car, I'll definitely have to pick up some racing seats. That being said, I find the Z incredibly comfortable for long distances. In every car I've owned, and most cars I've ever ridden in long distances, I constantly find myself trying to get comfortable. Cruising on the highway in the Z, I am able to get comfortable once, and drive to my destination without any other adjusting. |

Well sometimes it not the actual ride of distance. It's just the action of getting in and out of the car that can trigger symptoms on larger people. I remember a sales guy struggling to get out of the car.

When I found it with a couple hundred dollars in it and realized that the gold alone was worth nearly $2K, I sold it, and now just fold and stuff the money in my front pocket along with an expired drivers liscense. So I agree that in the end a money clip is cheaper, just do not follow my foot steps. |

But when I leave the real one in the car, it gets me through. |
I know when I put the stock seats back in for a road trip, I feel like I could drive for days with a gatorade in my back pocket, forks in my front pocket and nails behind my back lol. Of course they feel that spacious and comfortable if you get in and out of these all the time:

This ritual includes putting my phone in the mount, putting my wallet in the door pocket and putting my keys in the centre console, as well as going through my pre-launch checklist. So no worries about things in my pockets  |
If you carry a wallet, check out Big Skinny wallets. I got one and it is amazingly thin.

Ok so idk if it'll work but I'm going to be getting the RJM clutch and they're gonna fabricate it so the clutch is farther to the left so I don't have to have my leg at an angle, hopefully this will relieve some pain!
