I think this is the only valid reason to drive an auto trans.

OEM Potenza's jerked me all over the road, it was crazy! DSW's don't do that although they don't feel as good handling wise as the Potenza's did.

Actually, I do know why it is, because you couldn't shift with a drink in the onegoddamncupholder if it were switched around.

In the end. Poor design. /rant.
I rest my hand either on the steering wheel or shift-knob... thus no need an arm rest...

what I would like, however, is a little holder that can hold my bluetooth headset.

Never thought about the arm rest as an issue until you brought it up. So on my drive home, I paid attention to this. Similar to you, I place my elbow on soft part of center console and then wrist/hand rests on top of e-brake.

It actually works okay, as the top of the e-brake is flat and it's level with the center console. Maybe a simple mod of attaching a thin/flat soft piece of material on the e-brake would make it feel more like a real arm rest.

honestly no room for anything in this car its insane. the person before me put an after market radio in so the 2" empty space thats left is where i try to store things(wallet, phone, work phone? and then on a nice quick pull from a light everything comes flying out back at me. also the center console has no room why would there be another cup holder in there to store a backup drink when im just relaxin in the car and not driving?(cus it would be stupid to drive with that open i.e no halfa** armrest anymore) and the outlet under the insert in the center console just doesnt make sense to me......

i love the car and have had one compliment everyday(atleast) since i got it last monday

So, they didn't put a 2DIN headunit in? I'm assuming that you have the touring w/nav, because I have a nice cubby hold up where the nav. would go that I store my garage door opener and work badge in.

-The cup holder holds my phone.

-The power outlet in the center console makes sense to me, and there's an opening for a charging cable too.

I think there could be another cup holder behind the center console door, or just move the storage space to the back (bunch of wasted space on the console) and put another there or something.

I don't get that many compliments on it from strangers.

I shouldn't care, but it's nice sometimes to get those random compliments.

Man you guys are harsh on the poor Z. The only thing I don't like is when I actually use the cupholder my elbow hits the bottle/drink while shifting. Other than that the center console area works great as an armrest. My prior acura rsx-s had no center console at all to act as an arm rest. The only drink authorized in my car is water anyway so not really a big deal.
