I pulled mine this winter on my 2010. Been driving with no issues. Make it happen.

Just remove the steering lock fuse when the lock is disengaged and you'll never have to worry about it again.

The fuse is solely for the locking mechanism, nothing else.

You'll be fine, remove it and you won't have to worry about possibly being stranded...

I am pumped so many people replied to this. last night when i got home i put it in acc and took the fuse box out but could not get it open.(I had it vertical and assumed the trick was to push down on the two tabs and slide the top part of the cover over the lip of the bottom piece?)

I didn't have any lighting so after work today asap I'M PULLLIN OUT!

I bought my 09 almost a year ago after reading probably the same threads I pulled the fuse on mine. You will never know its gone. Just a note keep looking thru the forum it's helped me several times, and I've had only positive responses from the members. Nice car good luck with the mods to come!

Hi Zack,
I've got an 09 also, and I pulled my fuse and no repercussions at all.

With my fuse gone, the car is sometimes slow to respond to the start button being pushed. I've read other posts claiming the same thing, so I wouldn't say it doesn't effect anything. Once it's started, everything is fine, though.
