There is no stock oil cooler on this car, there is a Nissan oil cooler (not sure part number) which Nissan can add for you.

What I would do:
tint, Rims, Suspension, exhaust....if your modest. Go tint, rims, suspension, zele kit, zele exhaust if you wanna be showy..Im all for it.That right there is about $20k in mods alone with labor heh. |

Everyone is dogging on short-ram intakes but no one is mentioning the Takeda intake. Their dyno chart has 18HP gain. Seems a little unbelievable to me (had a shortram intake on my turbo Mazda and lost a TON of HP due to ECU pulling timing from hot air temps) but i'm curious if any users here have had different/proven results.
Here's a link to their application guide - check the video link or dyno chart http://takedausa.com/application/applications.php Last edited by TXSpeedDemon; 10-08-2009 at 05:05 PM. |

We've already seen someone on the forum with a takeda intake and I think he lost power. I'm waiting to find out more about R2C though.

That would be me, yes I lost power per my dyno test. They did another test recently on a dyno jet in cooler weather AND an open hood and saw some HP gain.

Yeah that's what I though would happen. The SRI on my MSP was a Perrin and I dynoed about 15 WHP lower than stock cars on the same day and dyno. Only way I think you'd get good gains is turboed with a vented hood and intercooler sprayer to keep the under hood temps down.

I'm a bit confused. In this thread I see that when talking about replacing the exhaust the most "restrictive" part is the HFC...Kind of eluding that it doesn't make sense to swap the exhaust unless you're also changing out the cats. But on most on the dyno's I've seen the bulk of HP gain has been from the exhaust and HFC have only added like... 5hp? Can anyone explain this to me.
