I know all gas is the same, and it's the additives that actually matter. But which Brand has the best/right combo of additives for your car?

I've seen this debate a lot over with the guys on my bike forum but Shell seemed to be a pretty popular choice for premium gas as well as BP. Those are the only two I really run in my bike and I'll probably just run the same in my Z.

BP has the worst gas on the market....it is known for its having water content and lots of sediment. I had to drain the tanks of three different cars since 2003 as a result of water and sediment from using BP gas. I swtiched back to Shell after those fiascos.

I only use shell, but I started thinking today (after seeing the price for v-power go up) if this is really the best for my car? I read on another forum that its bad, so idk what to think about it lol.

me personally, only use Chevron or shell, if you put 87-89 then shell is good but if you go for the premium chevron feels better and the low grade 87 for chevron sucks. Also the 87-89 shell last longer compared to chevron's 87-89 ( I reset my odd... every time I fill up on gas). These are my own personally experience.

I use Chevron w/ Techron! Some QuickTrips have Techron also!
I work at an Audi dealership and two years ago we had an outbreak of misfire issues from owners who used BP. I went to training up north in NJ and local sevice advisors there also had that problem with their clients! Each region has transportation and storage additives specific to their own demographics and weather. The German cars are designed to run on better quality fuel overseas so any problems w/ North American lower quality fuels really show up with those cars! I've used only Chevron for the last 9 years with no issues!! Shell is indeed on Audi's approved list so they should be ok also! Just my 2 cents!
