Targa / T-Top 370Z

If a targa or a t-top was offered for the 370Z, would you consider either one? Or would you just go with a regular convertible?

If a targa top was offered, I'd definitely go with that.

I love my see through T-tops...simple minds fascinate easily. A Targa seems much easier on paper, but alas Nissan has declined.

I was writing Santa when I heard the official spec.- no sunroof -no moonroof -no T-tops and lastly no Targa...dear diary fffffd again!

That rant aside, I love the potential of the new 370Z.

I keep flexing my right ankel/foot in anticipation...see you at the dealership.

T-Tops are for Trans-Ams.... A Targa, like the Supras, would be awesome!!

I had T-tops in a camaro I previously owned and I hated it! Most annoying feature in a car. I have never taken it off during my whole ownership of the car. so, t-top = scratch.

Targa is something I would consider. They look nice. I have seen Corvettes with targa and I like them.

I do like the LOOK of the convertibles but performance wise they are less rigid and heavier (due to boot). Still they are great weekend cars though. When driving alongside the mountains or rivers, you can't beat the convertible.

Coupe is the winner!

T-Top.....lol......... reminds me of the Camaros and Trans-AMs from back in the day........

the 80's called and said you can use the T-Top.....

Targa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NorCalZman 12-23-2008 11:40 AM

T-tops for sure. I love them on my Shiro. But hey 20 years worth of progress will eventually get me to upgrade to a 370Z. Ill miss the Z31 AND its t-tops though.

NSX, Carrera GT, Corvette.... removable hard tops are awesome. You get the best of both worlds and best of all, you don't need that hideous cloth top!

nogoodname 12-23-2008 11:44 AM

convertibles are just ugly with the top up............. they should change it to a targa top

shumby 12-23-2008 04:11 PM

^^^ seems like we got alot of targa lovers on here

o0javi0o 12-23-2008 07:42 PM

Targa !!!

370z 12-24-2008 12:18 PM

i'm all for coupe

Crash 12-25-2008 04:25 AM

Coupe. I've had my fill of T-Tops (all my firebirds) and targa tops (my corvette) and convertables (my Solstice) and what not... Honestly, I like to rigid feel of a solid coupe top.

Besides, I've never liked the look of the Zs in convertible.

Yeah, the T-Tops were fun, but I'm over it.

I think the differences between convertibles and coupes are so small you`re never going to feel it unless you`re on a racetrack, in a helmet, pushing the car to its limit and barely sticking to the tarmac. Everybody cites this `rigidity` thing with convertibles only because motoring journalists continually point it out so we all imagine we`re feeling that lack of rigidity, but we`re not because most people never drive that hard. Yes, the 0-60 time is slightly slower because of the extra weight (which was added to `rigidise` it), so in fact its no less rigid at all, but if we`re talking about driving experience, well you feel more speed with no roof, and you can hear your engine better.
