My first NSX had an after market sunroof, and the MR-2 had glass T-tops, and while I rarely (never?) opened them, I really like a glass roof.
I think a large glass moonroof (self darkening, of course) or a glass Targa would be nice. Solid removable panels like newer NSX aren't as attractive to me. A folding hard top or flipping, ala Ferrari Superamerica, would be really neat. |
the biggest thing I miss about my 300ZX is the t-tops but I also would prefer a Targa, if they made one I'd be at the dealer right now trading up

targa or :gtfo2:

Coupes!

A targa would be kool as long as they can design it without losing rigidity. I prefer the idea of a targa over the convertible. The Z just doesn't scream convert to me. Hell no on T-tops.

I've had all 3, and none feel as solid as a non-removeable roof. When a manufacturer produces a "serious" sports version of a model, usually they put in a solid roof to replace the targa/sunroof/cloth top (see Z06 vs C6, BMW 1M vs 135, Cayman vs Boxster, etc). I am glad Nissan went that route with the 370z. Cheers, Kent |
Coupe with built-in sliding/tilting sunroof

Targa or T-tops... I love my TT 300zx's and the T-Tops. They didn't make a TT without them.
I think it would be boss is nissan released a slick top, a convert, and a t/targa |
T-Top,
Gives some of the strength of a full top while still having an open top. Biggest problem with these options of Targa or T-top is that there is no place to hold the T-Top or Targa pieces in the car. So if you are away from home and it starts raining your SOL. |
