With the exception of my Audio, I am all stock after 3 years. Thought of a few things, never brought myself to do any of them. Probably stay the way

Costs money to go fast....and I'm cheap. The vehicle in stock condition/performance is just fine with me. But, to each their own.

My car was stock for about 6 months, then I bought a intake. Then wheels, then exhaust, and now debating on whether to go with coilovers or headers. Once you start to make your Z yours, the cost keeps increasing on what you want to do...smh especially when you start taking it to car events and see everyone else's Z. I can't wait to make my Z blk and bronze...

I almost agree with you.. I think the mods are little gifts for her and apparently she she wants presents. Starting off very slow, clutch spring, hood dampers and some spacers....Not sure what she will want next year!

After reading 3 pages worth of posts, I concluded that there is no truth to preservation.

OP -- change the title of this thread. The only time the 370 is stock is when it is on the dealer lot. Once it leaves, many (Ok LOTS) are modded to some degree within 12 months -- my subjective and conservative opinion.

Ya i should change it to "Is there an I can't modify it 370Z preservation club?!"

Nice to hear the feed back. I think with the K&N's and the rear spacers I will be OK for a while without any further mods.

My car came used with some mods already done to it (FI exhaust without resonator and Takeda cold air intake, not sure what else was done to it). I myself haven't done anything to it due to lack of funds.

I am thinking about dropping some better speakers and a new head unit into it, and it sounds like an oil cooler will be the first big upgrade I will consider. Just havent pulled the trigger yet.

I can't stand non-tinted windows. This was the first thing I did.

As a car guy, I can't leave any of my cars untouched.

FYI, if you like the car the way it is now, you'll hate the AAM shortails. They are loud and a far cry from even a normal CBE.

I have a tinted daily driver, all windows. Dark. Sometimes I feel like a kid driving it. I've had a co-worker rhetorically ask if I sold drugs on the side.

The Z looks great without tint IMO

As for the short tails they may never make it onto this car.

So , I got my Z in November of last year.

The first month or so, I was in disbelief that I even owned one.... Then one day I decided.. I need a touch screen 2 din radio..not this 1 din thing..

Then 2 weeks later I decided.. I need a little bass added...so got a sub and amp....

A few weeks later, I decided.. Id prefer my wheels black rather than silver... got them PC'ed. About a month later I decided.. I need a spoiler... ordered one in a group by.. and something I did not think I needed. a front lip.. I ended up buying too....

Maybe a couple weeks after... I got an ark exhaust..............

Fast forward to this week, I put on the spoiler... then on Thursday installed the front lip AND decided.. hey I need to match the sides of the vehicles, so let me get some CF sideblades...

And today.. I replaced the Door Speakers with aftermarket ones (huge difference) just because when my GF is out of town.. I lose all self control when it comes to getting things for my car.

I still want intakes, and new wheels...

I got bit.

edit: Timing is a best guestimate, basically all that stuff since Dec'ish.

Default The 370Z

Thats the beauty of this 370Z if you already have the sport pkg. there not much else, I put in a custom stereo, exhaust, K&N typhoons & I am hard pressed to go too much further. The only way to get some real power in the motor will cost 10K with parts labor & tune. If you had a comparable BMW you would have to add this & that to just to distinguished it from all the other ones. The 370 has great lines,& handling, decent power & good interior plus low production.
