Default Jump in on 2009 370z or wait for the 2010?

I'm looking at a fully loaded 2009 370z Touring w/Sport/Nav. I'm wondering, what would/should my incentive be for purchasing this car now when the 2010 model is just around the corner? Do you think the 2010 will cost a lot more or have a lot more features/fixes?

Not really in a rush as I'm financing my existing 2006 350z Touring (w/56000 miles). Anxious to get into a new one and don't want my miles to get too high. It will be paid off in January 2011 if I continue payments as scheduled.

Only incentive I can think of to buy an 09 is the few thousand they will knock off to make room for the 10s.

Knock off a few thousand, for a car that has no planned changes. You've got to be kidding.

AND ..... don't give me heated mirrors as a major change

This car was getting thousands knocked off when it was new. Most of us got our car for a couple hundred over invoice. Obviously they will be selling at bargain basement when it's time for the new ones to roll in.

Seat coolers on the 2010, as well as heated mirrors and a cabin air filter. Go 2010!

I'd have to say 2010 as well. The newer the car the more improvements it will have. So it's all good.

Does anyone know what the improvements are going to be for the 2010 version? I know that the 2010 has the convertible which I do not like...

I'm in the same situation as the topic creator. I'm a potential 370z buyer (85% sure of it) so I need to know if I should just wait for the 2010 version coupe.

Figure out exactly what you want, try to have your dealership find it for you. If they can, buy the '09, if they can't order the '10. Simple as that.

I think you should wait for the 2012 model. It's going to be really sweet.

Default new but subtle features for 2010

there was a site on another thread about the 2010 coupe.
yes theres heated mirrors thats a plus.
yes theres cooling seats as well as heated thats a plus.

but the reason why ive been debating myself whether to trade my 09 pw /persimmon for a fully loaded 10 is ...

bluetooth MUSIC!! WOOT no more stupid wires...
plus a new interior color that beats persimmon with pearl white..
something called 40 red. imagine that!!
that would be so sexy.
would remind me of my championship white type R with red recaro seats...
sigh... i should have waited.

I heard only 1 color is made new for the 2010 version (black cherry red). I was hoping for a whiter color (not pearl white but actual white white).

Have the 2010 versions been finalized and basically a done deal? Or are they still improving/updating with better specifications and parts while taking orders?

Sorry again.

Yeah you're all right... it makes the most sense to wait for the 2010. It's just tough to do so! Been waiting this whole year as it is... but I guess it's better to buy at the end of winter than just before winter. (live in NJ)

I was hoping that maybe Nissan would cook up such a good deal that I could not resist buying now, but I'm not even sure what that deal should be. Is it invoice? Is it below invoice since they need to clear room for the 2010 models? I really have no idea. Is it likely that the 2010 orders will be a few grand more?

There are not many 09 Z's left from what I understand. 2010 sounds like your best bet. Love my late model 09
