Default Jump in on 2009 370z or wait for the 2010?

I'm looking at a fully loaded 2009 370z Touring w/Sport/Nav. I'm wondering, what would/should my incentive be for purchasing this car now when the 2010 model is just around the corner? Do you think the 2010 will cost a lot more or have a lot more features/fixes?

Not really in a rush as I'm financing my existing 2006 350z Touring (w/56000 miles). Anxious to get into a new one and don't want my miles to get too high. It will be paid off in January 2011 if I continue payments as scheduled.

Only incentive I can think of to buy an 09 is the few thousand they will knock off to make room for the 10s.

Seat coolers on the 2010, as well as heated mirrors and a cabin air filter. Go 2010!

I'd have to say 2010 as well. The newer the car the more improvements it will have. So it's all good.

Does anyone know what the improvements are going to be for the 2010 version? I know that the 2010 has the convertible which I do not like...

I'm in the same situation as the topic creator. I'm a potential 370z buyer (85% sure of it) so I need to know if I should just wait for the 2010 version coupe.

Figure out exactly what you want, try to have your dealership find it for you. If they can, buy the '09, if they can't order the '10. Simple as that.

I think you should wait for the 2012 model. It's going to be really sweet.

I heard only 1 color is made new for the 2010 version (black cherry red). I was hoping for a whiter color (not pearl white but actual white white).

Have the 2010 versions been finalized and basically a done deal? Or are they still improving/updating with better specifications and parts while taking orders?

Sorry again.

Yeah you're all right... it makes the most sense to wait for the 2010. It's just tough to do so! Been waiting this whole year as it is... but I guess it's better to buy at the end of winter than just before winter. (live in NJ)

I was hoping that maybe Nissan would cook up such a good deal that I could not resist buying now, but I'm not even sure what that deal should be. Is it invoice? Is it below invoice since they need to clear room for the 2010 models? I really have no idea. Is it likely that the 2010 orders will be a few grand more?

There are not many 09 Z's left from what I understand. 2010 sounds like your best bet. Love my late model 09

ONLY convertibles get seat coolers. Heated mirror and cabin air filter IS standard on 2010.

VERY LITTLE has been changed on the 2010 model(and it's a good thing ). If you can get a GREAT deal on 09, get it. If not, just wait for the 2010 since it's already September.

Also many of the new improvements that are coming to the 09 the ipod connection changed to usb connection which probably wont be something that can be added to the nav cause im sure software is involved.

Heated mirrors can be added to a 09 and the micro-filter. So in my opinion get the 09.

Not directing this at the OP but there has to be a clump of threads asking this question and Im starting to wonder if people want a 2010 just to say I have a 2010.

Jeez so all 09ers grab you some heated mirrors and head to your loval dealer and get a micro-filter and tell everyone you have a 2010 early. If you don't have nav NO ONE will ever know.

Yeah I figure the dealers will be mostly out of stock, however, the one I've been going to has a few left... one of which is exactly what I'm looking for. If they can hook me up with something like an extended warranty, etc... I make take the plunge now. If not, I'll just order a 2010 model.
