I enjoy new technology, but I do agree that shifting on your own is always more fun. F1 style transmissions such as SMG and DSG are no doubt quicker on the track, but it's not always about what shifts the fastest.
I also agree that if you're driving quickly on the track or on the canyons, that you should know how to properly rev-match downshift just in case something goes awry with this system. |

Meh... I probably won't be using it much. I already rev-match and occasionally heel toe if I'm going through the canyons. But generally I don't down shift anyway unless I'm turning or going into a lower gear to go faster.
