Would you purchase an "active" rear spoiler?

Question is why? What purpose could it possibly serve at speeds under 100mph? Its a gimmick for people who know nothing about aerodynamics and just want to have something "cool".

There is a time and a place for a active rear spoiler and our cars is not it. I would be more inclined to spend money on decreasing the drag of the car instead of increasing drag to create downforce.

IMO of course.

What good would it do? I'd pay for it if it yielded a handling advantage for every-day driving, but I don't see it.
