Honestly brotha, I averaged like 10 when I first got my car for the first week. I was flooring it eevvvvvvvvvvverywhere lol 4-5k+ shifts,f irst gear almost always red line lmao...not literally but you get the idea.

I really think that you're just gassing it a little more than you think lol. ease up off the paddle bruh!

You must be in some major traffic because I get better than that driving locally and I have 4.08 gears. Before I had the gears, I got mid teens city/low 20s highway.

The worst my z has ever done was a 40 mile stretch of driving where avg speed was 19.4mph and my mpg was 15.6 during that span. Your getting track day fuel economy, I think I get 8 mpg during track days, lol

20MPG for me until I got my ARK Exhaust, not it is back down to about 15MPG, since I love the sound at or above 4k RPM

I get 12 MPG or better with a very heavy foot. The only time it is worse is at the track.

You might be dealing with inconsistencies in gas pumps being able to fill up your tank which is going to skew your calculations. If you didn't truly top it off the previous fill-up but did this time then you will end up with a lower than normal calculated mpg. Use the same pump at the same time of day for your next fill-up and see what it comes out to.

i think right now i'm actually at 18.7mpg due to recent testing of my new exhaust mod. i'll even take a pic for you if anyone needs proof. the rest of the forum knows how i drive so thats known lol ;)

and you know i dd nonhighway since my avg mph is only like 32mph? lol not sure without looking.

*UPDATE* I took my wife up to Dallas then up to the casinos in Oklahoma from the Austin area a few weeks back and averaged 27.5 MPG. I also just recently put a custom true dual exhaust and noticed a 3 MPG increase overall average in fuel mileage. My last major road trip prior to this one averaged 24.8 so yes Im happy with a peppier Z and driving longer between fuel stops!

edk370 04-10-2014 03:56 PM

I had an '09 sport package, 6-speed manual. I averaged 18 mpg city...and maybe 21ish highway. I drove it very conservatively; no racer here.

You sure it was about 13 gallons to fill up? because I thought the 370 had an 18 gallon tank.

chances are, you're a tad heavy foot and just enjoying your new car while the car is breaking in.
