Im averaging 21.8 (31 miles each way) commute every day to work at 65 to 85mph and averaged 24.7 on a long road trip. Our Z's need to stretch their legs to get good fuel mileage.

Whew! I'm glad I read this post! I was worried because I'm only getting 16.5 - 17 mpg, but now I don't feel so bad. Like the OP, I have a short commute at low speeds (5.5 miles, 20 mph avg speed) with plenty of idling. :( I was apprehensive because my previous car, an '05 Honda S2000, got 20 mpg during the same commute.

I have a 5 minute commute and the car sucks more fuel than a kardashian sucks... You know. I probably get 10 mpg as well. But I get 27 on the highway. If you drive it for a while and let it warm up you will probably see closer to 18 city
Oh it doesn't help I accelerate fast lol |
I have a heavy foot and still average 12 MPG per tank.
You need to show me the trick getting lower MPG on the street. :icon17: |

im averaging close to 20 mpg on my nismo and im not exactly driving like a grandpa all the time
|
I have the same car as you Endlessnoob. I avg about 20-26. 90%highway 10%city. And I do drive like a grandpa(breakin period). I notice the avg raise fast on highway and drop on city driving so def have a good weekend freeway drive to see what your new numbers would be.
