rhino ramps
So I decided to try out these ramps I bought on an oil change before I wrench on the exhaust when my FI comes in. #921 btw. I had to build a step with two 1x4's so it would clear the front end. No big deal there. But anyone who has used these knows that the pathetic little piece of rubber that's supposed to keep it from sliding is a joke. After bracing them against the rear of my garage with a couple pieces of wood they actually worked well for the 50 bucks I invested. Well worth it but beware.

yeah, I think some members here put floor mats under the ramps to keep them from sliding.
I haven't experienced the sliding myself personally though.

but all my 4 cars require extensions for the front... which is a pita but oh well. if you do make extensions, besure to bolt them down to the ramps so that it does not separate while you go up the ramp. that was also highlighted on my pictures but oh well. |

I've got them, sometimes they slip sometimes they don't when I try to pull onto them. I like them overall though. Thing I have found is that if you have a smooth shiny cement floor with oil on it, these things slip. If you have an etched or finished/epoxy floor with some grip they do OK.

I have no slipping issues and I have to use 2x4's to clear.

They work fine for oil changes. I had an issue with them sliding on the hard, slick concrete garage floor. I put some pieces of old, rubber backed bath mat under them and solved the problem. Get them in place nice and straight and kick them a few times to wedge them under the tires before starting to roll up on them. And be fast on your footwork so you don't go too fast and over the end of them !
