Default Joining the ranks :(

Well, I am taking my Z in tomorrow to get it looked at. Not only are my 6th gear synchros going bad like many others here but so are my 5th gear ones. The sixth gear started doing the gringding thing about 1000-1500 miles ago but I ignored it and found if I just always put it in 5th first then really really slowly put it in sixth it was fine. Unfortunately 5th gear now grinds really bad as well.

Its a simple fix, the two that were at my dealership were in/out in two days. Hopefully this isnt a recurring problem.

This is the first I have heard of this - you say you are joining the ranks, who else has this problem - any threads?

I've heard about it maybe once or twice more. Certainly not enough to worry about...and when there are enough, we'll have a recall. Though, someone said the G's had this problem and he swapped trannies like 6 times through the life of the car.

There have been a few people with the problem its pretty well documented and the dealership called tech-line (apparently that is who has to approve it) as soon as they told them the issue they just said to order the transmission.

Kannibul: The 350 trans doesn't work, I was just saying they tried to put on on. They didn't realize they had the wrong one at first. Then they got the 370 trans and put it on.. its working again.
