370z vs. 2003 mustang svt cobra

what would win in a 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile race? anyone have any experience with a 2003 or 2004 cobra?

You again...

Cobra would rape us. The Terminators are downright NASTY. :)

Is this a serious question? The Terminator would rape your car while you watched helplessly. A week later, you'd find out you have car herpes.

these threads go no where i find

You do know why they call them Terminators right? :wtf2: Now if you decided to toss him some corners the a$$ handing would be the other way around

Drivers race if you ask me. But since Z is more of a RoadCourse car and Cobras are drag friendly, I'd say Mustang Cobra.

i dont think it would rape it, considering the 0 to 60 times are very similar, and 1/4 mile times, the 370z is like .3 to .4 seconds off.

The Cobras are NOT drag friendly. They have IRS with pretty bad wheel hop when stock... but driven right they are good for easy 12 second passes at 110+. Don't let mag times fool you.

Stock for stock the Cobra will eat up a 370. The problem is, very rarely are you going to run into a stock one. A few hundred bucks for a pulley and tune and you're dealing with a 475whp Cobra.

And if you're really unlucky, you'll run into one of the KB monsters pushing anywhere from 600-900whp.

Guess I've been lucky everytime.

These 370 versus "X" threads are getting more obscure all the time.

Exactly. I was reading a Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine and one owner actually managed a 10 second pass on the stock blower without nitrous.

The cars are wicked. Over in the Fast Intentions thread we were talking about them and I mentioned that when more money starts flowing in I'm going to look to pick up an '03/'04 convertible.

so your saying these cobras are a excellent value? i know you can get hp out of the cobras easily, being a v8 with a conservitive tune from the factory, should be much easier to get the cobra to go fast then compared to the 370z, right? have you actually driven a cobra?

bmarcinczyk14 09-01-2009 11:53 PM

oh and btw check out this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYsH-rzN94w some pretty damn good racing.

They are great cars. I do believe they are a great value. They still go for $25-30k.

Let's just say I've driven my fair share of Mustangs. :driving:
