Fuel sensor? I'm unclear what part that is. What is the car doing?
|
So the level sensor in the tank? Not sure how that would effect the car's ability to start. If you don't want to pay to have it fixed, just figure a rough ballpark of fuel remaining by your trip meter..

And OP, you might get more responses with a more descriptive title and in the correct subforum.

im going to pick up the car now and ask the dealer to print out what actually the problem of my car. on the phone he just said the fuel sensor... |
If it's the float that sends the fuel level to the gauge, ask him how that would cause the car not to start. As long as there's fuel in it, of course.
And look in your local subforum for a reputable independant shop. |

is the fuel sensor problem related to the issue you originally has? |
if the OP brought the Z in for oil change and all the sudden the SA tells him "oh.. you need to change the sensor..."
then I'll be :wtf2: how would you do a diagnosis that should cost $80 but now for free and then tell me I need to pay $800. was your Z behaving normally before you brought in to the dealer? I will suggest you bring it to a reputated local mechanic and get a 2nd opinion. |
i think he was the one that walked 2 miles to get a gallon of gas the other night.

something doesn't make sense.....
if its the fuel sensor which indicates the gauge levels, who cares. If its a fuel sensor for the fuel injectors, if there is such sensor??? That may need to be looked after;) |
I think you need to get a much clearer description of what they're saying the problem is, and then clearly post what they say.
