Looks great. Are there any downsides to widening wheels? I do t hear about it very often and I don't know much about it.

No, the welds are actually stronger and thicker than the original metal and the corvette guys have been doing it for years. I have powdercoated several sets that were widened by this company and was impressed with the quality. They check for trueness before and after and I even had one customer who's wheels they wouldn't widen due to some undetectable (to the naked eye) warpage.

I bought the 4 wheels for 500 and spent 900 to widen them, so 1400. Not bad considering I sold the same wheels off of my 350z back in 04 for 2000

All done!
Final wheel is 18x9.5 + 46 with Toyo R888s in 275/35-18 (about an inch shorter than stock).

Wheels weigh 19.8 lbs each.

They fit both front and rear without spacers, but I am running a 25mm spacer in the rear.

Yep, just what I like! Relatively inexpensive, light, rotatable and they look good too! Plus, I buy my used race scrubs for under 500 per set including shipping.

hes using them for the track, not stuntin' around town. Track, smaller/lighter = better.
