The only burden I can think of is people asking to drive my car. Even if you know how to drive stick or not it's like me sharing my gf with another dude, not going to happen. If I want you to drive it I'll ask =)
|
Only burden I come across is the lack of places to drive too. Oh, we need something from the store??! Ill get it!
|
no burden what so ever.
if it burdens you enough to point out ALL the negatives about it. Then im sorry but why in the heck did you buy the dang thing in the first place. its a sports car, not a lucrative van or sadan lol its not meant to be quiet, space galore exc, its meant to be one thing. a sports car.  |
This has all the hallmarks of yet another regret thread. I wouldn't be on here if I regretted having it
|
IT'S SLOW !!! Thanks GTM :usa:

Interesting Thread
Burden is a strong word. I definitely do things differently because of the Z -Switching cars during the day so I can drive it -No longer park by the subway station so drive it to work and pay parking. -Putting 94 octane whenever I can -Dont see it for 5 months a year cause of winter storage -Over 10K in mods But they are choices I make cause I love it. Don' regret it. They have become a bit harder to live with though. In my situation I have a 2yr old son. The wife has a sweet 2013 BMW X5 but my other car, so I can do day care pick up or drop off is a 2000 Subaru Forester. Needless to say, while it can be fun it is still depressing to either jump from my Z or wife's X5 into the Subaru....I could lease a nicer 3rd car but I know I could do something better with that money...especially with daycare costing $1300 a month lol. So I'm lucky to still drive her and have the wife support it but I go through a lot to do so. lol, sorry for the book, I guess its just been on my mind a lot while she sits in storage :( |

Sometimes I feel that I should have not bought the car and instead save my money, but that all changes when I get behind the wheel. |
^^
Monthly payments can be a pain in a butt even if the car is affordable. But once you drive the car, all that pain goes away. Comes right back when you have to go back to work lol |
Z is way too affordable to ever be a burden, GT-R yes Z no

Maintenance wasn't an issue, but reliability was. Too much time in the shop. Too much"oh...that's normal for those..." from NNA. Cost wasn't an issue as I knew what it cost before I bought it. Space was an issue when I went out of town to see friends, and definitely would have been once I move where my friends are, but where I am now it never bothered me. In short, it was a decent cheap sports coupe. Had lots of build quality issues and never really impressed me, but it also cost less than a Cayman S, as well. Overall, "meh" about sums my feelings up. But it was never really "a burden". My needs just changed and it's not a car I felt any real attachments to. Kind of like a spoon or fork. It got me from a to b most of the time and beyond that it was whatever. |
Yes, yes it is...I'm going to trade it in for a Prius;)

I would add that my only complaint about Z ownership is I can't help but mod the car which can become a burden :icon17: |

2) Pretty damn cheap for someone my age and clean record helps. 3) Gas isn't too bad in Nashville. I'm getting 21.8 mpg in the Z currently. 4) LOVE the fact actually. I don't like people anyways:bowrofl: 5) What repairs? My 10' has 33k on it 6) I'm 6'4" and can get in and out without hitting my head. I'm happy! 8) Well I do drive a bright A** blue 370Z. What do you think? 9) Stay single my friends ;) I don't have any real issues but, not getting Nav is something do I regret. :shakes head: It just looks SO damn clean! |

LMAO but, of course

No burden. Love the Z. Tires are the only sort-of burden. They burn fast and are expensive. As a whole the Z itself is cheap to maintain. No repairs needed yet. It's been more reliable than my 12 altima 2.5s that had two warranty repairs for oil leaks. The Z remains solid.

It's a tough life but someone's gotta live it.

It is a burden because I have to park far all the time.

I leased mine [option to buy] mainly because I don't know how much I want to spend on it [upgrades wise]. Ive only had mine for a month but I love it a bunch already and will be getting pipes and intake and a tune soon.
But to answer OP, no burden at all. its "relatively" inexpensive to own this car. |
Not so much a burden, prior to purchasing the Z, my wife and I made the decision to finally get a "hot date" car that would be just for us and our little outings, car cruises, street races, and just times when Ilene feel like tearing it up. We're both 25 with one 7 year old and one 11 month old but hey, that's what family cars are for......wouldn't have it any other way

This vehicle has been the exact opposite! It has been nothing but joy and ALL smiles when I get in the drivers seat. I bought this car with knowing what I like, what I can afford and what is going to put the biggest smile on my face for the $. I made a great choice with the 370.

#5, can't afford repairs, unless you're tracking your car, routine maintenace expenses are the same as any normal car. #7, excessive noise, dynamat the doors and hatch (3-4 hours work you can do cheaply). You'll have a very civil ride and your stereo will sound better. #8, unwanted attention, never had any negative attention, all the people who have made comments or jestures have been very positive. #9, complaints from significant other, WHO CARES! :icon17: I daily drive mine and totally enjoy it. My wife actually enjoys being a passenger in the car as she was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable it was for a sports car, plus she secretly enjoys (okay not a secret now) people admiring the car. |
I love lamp

is my Z a burden...?
mm.... I don't piggyback it so I don't know. |
