i dont believe there is any, why i say that is because if there was evap then I would get CELs...

I can see that point, I just can't believe something with a spring can create a tight enough seal to allow for no evap.

On fords? Last I remember, their fuel doors don't lock. Hoping they changed that for these

Just started using the STINT 3 weeks ago. Upto today I have done nothing but short mileage runs with the 370Z with no SES......Did a long trip of 160 miles and the SES (Service Engine Soon) light with an error code of:

P0456 [EVAP] Very small evaporation leak in fuel system - less than .02-inches. Check fuel cap.

This is what my diagnostic reader picked up, I just cleared the code using the diagnostics device. So I do believe that using the STINT MAY cause an SES under long continuous driving trip conditions.

The literature seems to support this as well as there are reports of people that use a STINT device in other vehicle models and have gotten the same occassional SES error as identified above.

Let us know. I'm interested in it, but I already have a fear of gas evap (which I already voiced) and ZKindaGuy kinda proved.

Why not just use the hook on the gas filler door (g96818 pointed this out too)?

Not sure if you're talking to me, or just asking the question in general, but I don't exactly like touching it. It would be kind of cool to get away from that.

Sorry frost, it was a general question, not directed at you. Plus I'm not sure how many realize that the hook is there, so I thought I'd point it out.

No problem mate, I didn't take any offense. Most of the time I'm filling up when going to work in my business clothes, and it's a bad time to get dirty hands from my fuel cap. Even though I wash in there, phoenix dust gets back in pretty quickly.
