This may be dumb question, but how in the hell woould water get in there unless you drove around with the gas door open. Think about it, the angle that the door is at ? unless the water travaled up the insisde of the door then fell in the cap opening??? not going to happen.
Now if by some freak of nature that water did get into it wouldn't you see it when the gas door was open before inserting nozzle?

And besides, a 1/2 teaspoon of water puddled above the flap isn't going to have any impact at all when mixed with 19 gallons of gas...

The Water concern is silly..

Those people concerned about water aren't getting the FACT that the install and care directions indicate not to spray water DIRECTLY AT THE gas cap. The key word for those folks is "".

DIRECTLY - In a direct line, way, or manner; straight to.

So I looked this up on Amazon and it says not for use in California?

"Does not work with all gas hoses, not for use in CA, OR, WA"

Anyone know why this is the case? Are our nozzles too big or something (hehehe I said nozzle)?

^^i took this from their help page...

"Note: Not recommended with vapor hooded nozzles. On hooded nozzles you may need to hold the nozzle in position to refuel properly or remove the cap and refuel without using the InStant Fill cap.

Note: If you are having difficulty, you may remove the cap and refuel without using the InStant cap.

Warning: Do not spray this cap directly with a stream of water. This may allow water to enter the fuel system.

Questions? 1-800-822-3121."

didnt say anything about state usage...i would call the 1-800 number and ask them...

Anyone tracked their gas mileage with these? I'm curious to see if there is any reduction due to the slim chance of evaporation.
