Persimmon interior GOOD or BAD deal???

I have the opportunity to purchase a complete practically new persimmon interior complete with both seats, both door panels, and the OEM heated seat switches. They offered it to me for $1600 for everything and the shipping would be about $200. Since I am new to the Z world is this price pretty fair?

I tried searching around other threads to get an idea but:

1. There are not many out there as the people that bought persimmon love it and wont sell them.
2. the ones i did find were at total opposite ends of the spectrum price wise.

I love this interior color however when I went to purchase my Z there were none available with this interior package. Plus to tack on the touring package to the already sport package i wanted just was not feasable at the time of purchase.

Let me know your thoughts, and would you pay that much for the complete interior?

Thanks

Lowball!!!

But that's not a bad deal

Considering I've seen two black seats only go for 1200 if I remember correctly that seems like a smoking deal

They don't really GO FOR $1200, they start at $1200, lol

If you really like the interior color and you think it is an "OK" deal, get it.
You will probably not come across another deal on the entire set again any time soon.

Besides you can get about 1k back on all of your stuff.

Correct, won't see it again for A WHILE, if ever.

$1k back, LOL!!! Maybe $400, MAYBE.

$1800 seems a bit steep to me. My coworker had his entire honda accord outfitted in leather (from and back seats, door panels and center console) for under $1200 with the same leather that comes on the higher end model by the same installer the dealership uses.

You may want to reach out to your local Nissan dealer to see who does their interior work and get a quote from them on reupholstering your car. On a car our size I can't imagine it costing more than $600-800.

But you have to remember with this way im getting power seats and the heated seats with the OEM switches. Plus this is OEM color. The best a leather place can do is color match with what they have at best. And without an actual set or sample of the persimmon in hand they can probably just go off pics.

If thats the interior you really want then grab it. When I bought my Z there were only 2 for sale with that color interior in all of Canada so I jumped on a plane and flew out to get that color specifically.

My car is black but my dream combo would have been persimmon interior with 40th anniversary exterior.

Just picked up a new one yesterday--Persimmon seats were on the must-have list. To get them, of course I had to buy the Touring Package--pretty much exclusively to get the leather seats. That is, if the other items in the Touring Package had been listed as separate line-item choices, none (other than possibly the Bose System) would have had much of an appeal. So, in effect, wanting the Persimmon seats and door panels cost me $5280 before discount. Sounds like you're getting a pretty fine deal.

I think it comes down to your budget vs. desire on this one, especially if it's pretty rare.

But... it certainly isn't a "great" "don't let this one slip away" deal. More of a "how bad do you want it/how much personal value will it have" thing.

If it seems steep and/or tough to budget in, but you would really regret having to pass, I agree that looking into having your existing seats and door inserts re-upholstered is worth looking into.

IMHO.......wait..... ahhh...no I won't
