You had a fully bolted DE? Tuned? Like others have said, around town you wont notice the "speed" difference too much. Though the 7500 redline is a hoot compared to the 6600. It is much more nimble, and grippy than my old 350. Its faster too, especially when the tach is past 5. Slightly faster than a stock HR due lower weight and flatter performance envelop. I track mine at a Florida raceway, I have a 2013 so the oil cooler is stock, all I do is put on tires and brake fluid, pads in. Havent had any issues. Yet.

Yes, I'd say it had full bolt ons.. the DE engines dont really get much more power from bolt ons though (compared to what I see from here in 370z scene), for me the real game changer for the DE engine was the camshaft and moving the torque curve to peak at around 7000rpm. But even with all those, it is very rare to see 300whp.

And yes, definitely tuned, as it is very necessary when running different cams in the DE mainly because the variable cam timing goes out of wack and you lose power in low and mid range.

Regarding the stock oil cooler, where is it mounted on a 2013 model? I saw this nismo option oil cooler that has the cooler in front of left front wheel with ducting.. looked very neat but $$ for an oil cooler kit What was the max oil temp you saw at the track?

it has a water jacket oil cooler. essentially a water cooled sandwich plate between the engine and oil filter. get a good 25 row and call it a day. they are a pretty easy bolt on and make a HUGE difference. im talking like 30 degrees dd'ing in summer

not worried about moisture in the oil that you cant boil out during your commute?

nope. car doesnt really come out in anything below 45-50 very often. as long as the oil temp gauge gets to within a low operating temp, then i don't worry

looks like its got the same water cooler like the 350Z then, to be honest it did not seem to really cool the engine down much in the old Z, and if you think about it, it is using hot coolant which sits around 100degC, compared to air which is under 30degC and its surface is just too small. In my old Z I put on a small oil cooler first (I think it was 12 row or something) and I was still hitting 150degC (302degF), so I replaced it with 25 row or so and it brought it down to around 130degC (266degF).

I am getting an oil cooler for sure anyway because I cannot see how the car can handle the heat otherwise. Thanks again for the info

I never trusted those bolt on kits because it is generally asking for trouble down the road.. but still, that is really impressive number. I wonder how how the engine will get with such power if it is already overheating NA..

The car has arrived at last..

It came with Nismo LMZ5 wheels and Fujitsubo muffler (just the muffler and stock piping..), gonna get the mid pipe fabricated between cat and the muffler soon.

Put on 25mm spacers front and back, stillen oil cooler kit is going to be installed this weekend

Very nice. I like your plan. Since Steve Millen is locally known, I got the Stillen exhaust and intakes. People know it is my car, vs any other, when I go by.

my Z is an 09 and no oil cooler (factory or aftermarket). no issue on my car.

and no, we should not discuss about overheating as thats been discussed waaaay too many times.
