Once he starts wrestling with getting the stock headers and cats out, that quoted price will double. The only way I could ever see shorty headers being worth it is if I was willing to DIY the job.

Exactly what I mean. There isn't the room to do it easily. Hell, Baker Tuning in Houston drops the motor because it's easier, LOL!

THIS. Honestly Stoney, it's your money or your parents money (I really don't know whose or care to know) we are just trying to help you out as much as possible. If you're hell bent on the stillen/berk setup, go for it. Just prepare yourself for the terrible money-power ratio.

Yep. It's a bitch of a job for very little return. That labor cost is better spent somewhere else. Buy a set of 4.08 gears instead.

Plus, gears would fly under the radar. The car won't look or sound any different so no one but you would know it had been done.

K I don't know much about upgrading or whatever, so I should do z1 headers, and what HFCs? Berk 350z or stillen 350z? Or does z1 sell the 350z HFCs that fit the headers? And do i just call them and tell them what I want and pay over the phone?

There's lots of information on this site about upgrading. You should take some time and read through some posts in the Engine and Drivetrain section. Putting a little time and effort into modifying your car is necessary so you don't end up with a bad set up.
Here is some information about the Z1 Headers that will put you in the right direction: Z1's Site 400 HP Package Some general information |
