Small Collision
This morning while my dad was backing up his truck out of the driveway he failed to see my Z and backed right into it...As you can see from the pics, it isn't an enormous collision and he luckily missed the passenger door. The area damaged is right behind the door.
My question is, how would one go about fixing this? Obviously I will be coming into contact with a body shop soon, but what exactly will need to be replaced? ...I'm hoping that the only thing will be the actual damaged panel. |

that is not small collision dent!!!
you will need a new quarter panel probably. not worth PDRing that. your title said small collision dent, expecting a small door ding size dent. not a frikken 'folks, smashed a coachroach, is he CPR'able?' lol GL with the repairs.

That is a fairly major amount of damage.

Were you being sarcastic about the small collision damage? That's going to be very expensive sir. It would be a great time to think about getting a wide body Z if you are into it.

I'm aware it probably won't be cheap but alas what needs to be done needs to be done. Wonder how much a new quarter panel costs. Hah, nah I'm not really interested in a wide body kit, I am a stereotypical stubborn nismo owner after all

Worst possible spot. If you look, that "panel" welded/part of the uni-body not bolted like the front fenders. It's gonna be tough for PDR and not worth to be honest.
You honestly would have been better off if it was the door. That's going to be $$$$. Better go through insurance.

I really hope it gets repaired good as new shortly! It really might be a great time to add some extra metal to the wheel arches if the OP wants a wide body Z, like I said previously. There are a few companies offering such mods.... but I can't think of the name off the top of my head. Check the Exterior-Interior section out if you want to go that route. |

I would have wanted the door over the quarter panel. Get ready for cut, weld and color blending. Sounds like that truck might be too big for his own good.
