I was driving into a gas station and i noticed a Pearl White Z getting gas as well, but the driver left before i could wave or say hi. No biggie so i continued to mind my own business and got out of the car to get gas.

Then it hit me, the driver was pumping gas using the green gas pump.. so i double checked and green = diesel and black = normal fuel. There might be a possibility that they swapped the fuel pump on the other side so i went and checked. Same thing, green being diesel..

so how was she able to drive off with a tank full of diesel fuel? :icon14:

Isn't the diesel pump nozzle a different size to prevent wrongful fueling?

Here in Iowa they sell E85. The E85 pumps have green handles. Maybe she put in E85 which would let the car run, but not well since the Z isn't made for E85.

A friend of mine dumped diesel into my 300ZX on accident, a while back. It putt-putted and stuttered but it lived on. I just used it for a week until I can refuel with premium and it was fine after that.

Its impossible unless she hovered the spout ABOVE the gas tank and squirted it in. Much like I do with my girl.

We had a customer manage this with his accord somehow...we flushed the system out, it seemed to work out just fine afterwards. It ran like garbage they has it towed.

I think, perhaps, you are mistaken.

I think this is what happened:
she pulled in and inserted her credit card and mistakenly grabbed the wrong pump. she probably got embarrassed and just pretended like she was filling up. lol idk hahaha

At least in my world it would never happen. I cant get her to put in her own gas unless I am out of town and she has no other choice.............
