Maybe (just maybe) Nissan really does not know what it wants to do with the Z. Think about the scenario if they had shown a concept at the Detroit show.

Maybe (just maybe) Nissan really does not know what it wants to do with the Z. Think about the scenario if they had shown a concept at the Detroit show. Would it have been overshadowed by the "Supra" FT-1 and the new Z06? Probably so, unless it was a killer design. After an impromptu conversation with a Nissan exec in Nashville last June my hunch is that they don't know where to take the Z. My vote is go ahead and make the fugly IDX for the low end and give the Z more power and keep it in the $30's and $40's.
